IFPMA and AMR Insights enter into Partnership

The International Federation of Pharmaceutical Manufacturers & Associations (IFPMA) and AMR Insights have entered into a Partnership to jointly increase their efforts to combat antimicrobial resistance (AMR). 

IFPMA represents the research-based pharmaceutical companies and associations across the globe. The research-based pharmaceutical industry’s 2 million employees research, develop and provide medicines and vaccines that improve the life of patients worldwide. Based in Geneva, IFPMA has official relations with the United Nations and contributes industry expertise to help the global health community find solutions that improve global health. Amsterdam based AMR Insights informs, educates and connects AMR professionals and stakeholders globally with the aim to enhance the global fight against AMR. To this end it has set up a global network of Ambassadors. AMR Insights is involved in research projects, product developments and awareness projects designed to curb the resistance problem. 

The Partnership focuses on strengthening information provision, better training of professionals and intensifying global innovation of new antibiotics and other antimicrobial compounds. Both parties look forward to working together with the aim to combat AMR.
