Novel survey distribution methods: impact on antimicrobial resistance research outcomes

  26 April 2024

A study at a NHS Foundation Trust investigated 240 healthcare professionals’ perceptions and attitudes towards antibiotic prescription practices during the pandemic. The survey was conducted using Qualtrics and distributed electronically. Ethical approval was obtained from the Health Research Authority and the University of Hertfordshire ethics committee. Patient and public involvement was crucial, with representatives from the Citizens Senate involved. The study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of hybrid survey distribution methods in healthcare settings, explore the potential of innovative strategies, highlight the role of collaborative approaches, and identify key insights for future research initiatives.
