Alkaloid rich hydroponic chili for AgNPs synthesis against multidrug resistant Staphylococcus aureus infected burn wounds

  25 March 2024

Hydroponic plant cultivation is expected to replace soil cultivation due to increased yield and rapid turnover. This study investigates the effect of hydroponic cultivation on medicinal plant phytochemical content for efficient phytomedicine production. The study quantifies bioactive compounds in hydroponic and soil-grown chili for green silver nanoparticles (AgNP) formulation preparation, which was evaluated as an alternate treatment for MDRSA infections. The enhanced activity suggests potential use in combating AMR infections.
