Toward the next AMR Benchmark: new methodology now online

The world needs new antibiotics and smarter ways of using existing ones if the benefits of life-saving treatments first discovered nearly a century ago are to be passed on to future generations. In the competition between humankind and microbes, the response of pharmaceutical companies is critical. The latest framework for action from the Access to Medicine Foundation sets out the path ahead to measure manufacturers’ response to the growing antimicrobial resistance (AMR) crisis, using a framework of 19 indicators.
