Throat lozenges could be contributing to antimicrobial resistance

The inappropriate use of OTC sore throat medications that contain antibiotics could thus be preventing hindering the WHO’s plans to tackle AMR in order to “ensure, for as long as possible, continuity of successful treatment and prevention of infectious diseases with effective and safe medicines.
