Uncovering the overlooked danger of antimicrobial resistance in oncology treatment pathways

About the online roundtable
Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) is an escalating global health threat—yet its devastating impact on cancer care remains under recognized. Cancer patients are uniquely vulnerable to infections due to immunosuppression from chemotherapy and other treatments. As resistance to life-saving antibiotics grows, so does the risk of complications, treatment delays, and mortality in oncology.
This 45-minute online roundtable organized by the AMR Insights Ambassador Network brings together leading experts to explore the critical intersection of AMR and cancer care. Drawing on recent high-impact studies, we will discuss the scale and consequences of AMR in both inpatient and outpatient oncology settings—and what must be done to address this urgent threat.
