Prevalence and Determinants of the Use of Antibiotics by Self-Medication in the Pediatric Population in Oujda, Morocco

A study found that 62% of parents in Morocco used antibiotics for self-medication, mainly for cough and fever. Factors like female gender, low education, socio-economic status, and buying antibiotics without a prescription increased the likelihood of self-medication. This highlights the need for a global health strategy.
