ONE HEALTH- AMR Mitigation for Food Safety – Postponed (!)

The hard work and efforts of all the stakeholders (Farmers, Feed Millers, Integrators, Consultants, Researchers and Policy Planners) has helped the industry to attain greater heights. Our Livestock and Poultry sector has drawn attention of the government and policy planners owing to is significant contribution to Agri GDP. It was indeed music to hear the appreciation for our sector, which came from none other than Sh. Atul Chaturvedi IAS Secretary, Animal Husbandry and Dairy Farming. Our sector has made significant contribution towards nutritional security, besides building the employment opportunities.

National Academy of Veterinary Sciences (NAVS) had convened meeting where in Ayurvet was invited to share the strengths of our industry. Accordingly, a one-day seminar on 21st March 2020 has been planned in collaboration with National Academy of Veterinary Sciences, Department of Animal Husbandry, Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry & Dairying, Government of India and Ayurvet Research Foundation. The key objective is to evolve a road map for achieving objectives defined in NAP-AMR. We expect around 100 select guests to participate. Many policy planners from department of Animal Husbandry, ICAR, NCDC, FSSAI, CDSCO, and AIIMS are likely to join the seminar to share their views. The policy planners are receptive and positive to support initiatives of industry
