Establishing Core Competencies for Antimicrobial Stewardship Teams: A Consensus Development Using the Modified Delphi Technique; an ESGAP position paper
The study aimed to establish a standard set of competencies for AMS team members using a modified Delphi technique. 88 competencies were identified, covering 15 domains, including infection management, microbiology diagnostics, pharmacology, antibiotic use, structure, stewardship interventions, surveillance, communication, infection prevention, quality management, IT support, and governance. The competencies can be used for training and program optimization.
