Citizen Generated Data to tackle Antimicrobial Resistance in Kenya

  24 March 2021

Africa’s Voices is deploying its interactive radio approach to  enable Citizen Generated Data (CGD) on Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) with The Global Partnership for Sustainable Data (GPSDD). The aim is to complement existing data on AMR with data coming from citizens, to better understand the barriers and pathways for tackling the existing problem.

To do this, we have partnered with West FM, Sulwe FM,  Inooro FM and Radio Kaya to reach Bungoma, Kiambu and Kilifi respectively. We air a show every week in each station where we pose a question to citizens related to AMR. Listeners are encouraged to text their views to a free shortcode.
