Beyond clinical genomics: addressing critical gaps in One Health AMR surveillance

Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) is a global threat, necessitating comprehensive surveillance strategies beyond clinical contexts. Current NGS methods mainly target clinical isolates, neglecting environmental and animal reservoirs. An integrated genomic framework, combining isolate-based WGS and shotgun metagenomics, is needed for proactive AMR management.
