The ARAE 2019 symposium aims to provide a global vision of the use of antibiotics in animals and their environment in the One Health context. All aspects related to epidemiology of resistant animal and zoonotic pathogens, mobile elements containing resistance genes, emerging antimicrobial resistance mechanisms, resistome of microbiotas, and the role of the environment as a source of resistance genes transfer and dissemination will be discussed.
