Antibiotic resistance still rising in England, latest monitoring data show

Antibiotic-resistant infections in England rose from an estimated 55,812 to 60,788 between 2017 and 2018 ─ an increase of 9% ─ and equivalent to 165 new antibiotic resistant infections a day, show the latest monitoring data* from Public Health England.
