Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) is a global health threat, driven by socioeconomic factors like poverty and limited healthcare access. Disadvantaged populations often resort to self-medication or substandard drugs. A systemic, cross-sectoral response is needed, focusing on equitable healthcare, sustainable food systems, improved sanitation, and environmental policies to protect human and planetary health.
