A Scoping Review Unveiling Antimicrobial Resistance Patterns in the Environment of Dairy Farms Across Asia
Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) is a major challenge in the farming industry, affecting human, animal, and environmental health. A scoping review of 39 studies in Asian countries found that AMR studies mainly focus on selective bacteria, with 24 studies reporting resistance patterns involving 78 antimicrobials. The review emphasizes the need for broader surveillance, antimicrobial stewardship integration, and cross-sector collaboration to address AMR through a One Health approach, highlighting gaps in regional coverage and bacterial species studied.
