“Global AMR Surveillance System (GLASS): findings first report presented at webinar on Friday 26 January”

“The WHO, Global Antimicrobial Resistance Surveillance System (GLASS) was launched in 2015. It is the first global system to collect official national data about antimicrobial resistance in bacterial pathogens that cause common infections in humans. Since its launch, 51 countries have enrolled in the system and more countries are in the process of joining.

On 29 January, WHO will release the first report on data gathered by GLASS. The information in this report represents a first step towards improving our understanding of the epidemiology and impact of AMR globally. In advance of the launch you can join a webinar on Friday 26 January at 13:00 Geneva time, at which the findings will be presented and discussed.
